Since 1963, only blind individuals have legally been allowed to be masseurs in South Korea. A new policy allows sighted people to perform certain types of massage.

I was REALLY disappointed when I heard the 'letters' section of All Things Considered on NPR yesterday. Apparently last week they did a piece on the recent article showing (big surprise) that girls can do math as well as boys. In that piece, they mentioned a math problem that had 2 answers.

2 women say they were denied jobs over hijabs

Two Muslim women in Dearborn were denied jobs at one of the only two McDonalds in the USA that has halal Chicken Nuggets because of their headscarves. This kind of logic makes my brain drip out my ears.

I've been enjoying books about bizarre 'scientific' beliefs lately. Blame it on Indiana Jones and his 'creatures that travel between spaces'.

For fiction I'm reading Raising Atlantis, in which Atlantis is buried under the Antarctic Ice Shelves, and archaeologists have come in to help the United States Army rediscover it - we'll see what happens!
